Reflections by the Chief Tower Guard
Ok, there's a few lessons to be learned from this month's Duelmaster. First off
all, when jaded managers tell you Wit and Will are the be all and end all of an ADM
character, that is simply not the case. I started had an 8 Will when I started
dueling, and although it's improved slightly here, it is still more than enough to
handle a great variety of foes. Add in to that that I still have skills to learn. If
you have seen your opponent fight enough, you can use a wise challenge to help
overcome an underdog position. I doubt I will be here again to pass on words of
wisdom next month, as I am trying an experimental bare-handed strategy with my TV
challenge, which this turn will be directed towards T-Bone of Warckers. I believe
he's another one of these warriors that can no longer learn skills in this arena, so
I'm hoping that he will be able to help my training regime. It would prove
particularly useful, as I will be heading back to the grand ADM tournament again after
this turn in hopes of a second straight ADM tournament victor status. I doubt I will
run into either T-Bone or Lilc there, but I see Moonbeam as a likely foe, since we
fought in ADM in the land of Minny's Sodas.

Glad to have finally made it.
Tournament time is nearly upon us again. I will be sending a large contingent
again this time, but I suspect it will be weighted less towards my ADM characters this
time, and more towards the regular DM characters. Remark A Bull, Boarish Yeltsin,
Fountain Troll and Willie Makit will likely all participate in the ADM tournament,
with Irritating Beggar and Pet Cemetary going off in search of Eligibles. Venomous
Porcupine and Amphibious Guard have both been given their Primus walking papers. Good

REPORT FROM WITHIN THE TOWER
Hail and well met warriors of CRYSALIS! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp
Eyes, Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. ZIPPER caught the eye of many in the
gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested CEPHAS and was awarded 29 points in
recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, SIMIRI TYL KREN put down
UNDERWOOD, causing him to lose 20 points of recognition in the process. Due to his
absence and inability to defend the throne, WILLIE MAKIT has lost the title of
Duelmaster. This time victory fell to the grasp of the usurper. All hail JIVE,
Duelmaster of CRYSALIS! No confirmation, but my sources claim that the top team has
gained their position using magical aids. Charmed weapons perhaps?
Many and various are the arts of battle. In CRYSALIS "art" is a word that has
long since passed from the language! My inside sources tell me that the team to beat
in CRYSALIS these days is THE CUTTING EDGE. At least, most blades in town are
looking to avoid them. Methinks more than a few here could name the guild it was
that spent the better part of last week avoiding THE CUTTING EDGE. Indeed it was
HIGH HOPES. Mighty fighters cannot but expect competition from those below. BOSTON
STRANGLER take warning! You have more than a few enemies in CRYSALIS. I cannot but
express pride for the fearlessness of FLASH who cast caution to the winds and TV
challenged SYCAMORE, a fighter 63 points higher. I must admit to some joy. Before
my very eyes the underdog in this contest, FLASH, defeated SYCAMORE to claim victory
and recognition. Give PUSSY WILLOW credit for his courage. Did you note how he
challenged BOSTON STRANGLER despite the 62 point difference in their rankings? Truth
to tell, PUSSY WILLOW did not come out of the fight a winner, but he managed to
capture much attention, gaining 21 in recognition. At the gambling halls I have
started to bet money on RASCALLY RABBIT. He has got the courage it takes. Witness
his challenge this turn against RUMBLE!!!!!!!!!! The THE WILLBURYS 1 stable will be
up late tonight, for indeed it was RASCALLY RABBIT who claimed victory in the
contest, ascending 32 in recognition!
What warrior does not hone his years, impatiently waiting for the moment of his

Everyone now knows that DM-33 is one of the "Fiercest & Best Free Blades Arena"
around. The Hammer and others have done wonderful things for that arena. With 50 or
so teams, DM-33 is fun, challenging and a joy to play in. However, I am not here to
talk about DM-33. I want to talk to you about DM-43, Veastian.
DM-43 is not a large arena, we have only 8 teams here right now. It is small,
and not the greatest arena around...yet. We need YOU to help make this a great
arena. Since it's so small, this is your chance to get in on the ground floor and
become a cornerstone of this arena. Not many have this chance. DM-33 is great, but
it is crowded. Here in DM-43 you will not be one of the many, you will be one of the
best. For all of you Noblish Island managers, this is your chance to transfer your
team to an arena where you will have an immediate impact on the game. This is an
arena where you can continue to hone your skills and be a contender for the
Duelmastership. Veteran managers...do you want to make Duelmasters the best it can
be? Help newbies and make an arena of your own?
